The Artra Art School offers courses for beginners, intermediates and advanced level students who want to explore drawing and painting with a focus on realism.  The range of mediums that are taught include graphite or pencil, colour pencil, watercolour, oil, acrylic.

 

Instructors at the ARTRA Art School understand developing art skills requires learning a visual language, and believe that this language is best taught with many demonstrations.  They believe that students learn best by watching and doing. These talented professionals generously share their art knowledge as they demonstrate new techniques in drawing and painting.  

 

The Artra Art School Online is open to all people who are interested in developing or enhancing their artistic skills.  Even those who feel they can only draw stick figures - we have courses for you!

  This fabulous drawing was selected out of hundreds of submissions and published in Art Journey | Portraits & Figures. Susanne Lamoureux's drawing entitled "Ama" was included in this book that was published in December 2014. Susanne is pictured here with the original pastel drawing. This drawing, which is presently in a private collection, is part of a series of pastel drawings that you can see at the ARTRA Art School.
